Joana Afonso (1989) PhD in Drawing at FBAUL, where she teaches, won with "The Waltz", also edited internationally, the Amadora BD 2013 Best Album Award and the BD Professional Awards of Best Drawing and Color. With Living Will won the PPBD of Other Publications and the Trophy of Best Art on Central Comics Awards. In 2014 she published her first solo work "Deixa-me Entrar" and was a featured author in Amadora BD, responsible for the image of the Festival. Has collaborations in papers, magazines and producers with works from illustration to a conceptual artist. It was exposed and published internationally in the Polish magazine Ziniol and in Image Comics.
